Player Structure Building

To build homes you need to be a Carpenter. Carpenters are responsible for building homes, camps and more. Working much like the traditional player structure building system.

Lets try to build this home.

Houses require a LOT of resources depending on the size. Lets take a look at the resource cost and the preview of this one.

Okay. This one is a bit too big. lets go with something smaller.

After Gathering the resources and bashing it for a while. it will look like this.

All structures will glow Green if it’s set to be persistent. A visual debug. If you notice a structure does not glow after being built report it to us.
Note the home does not have a interior. This housing system uses dynamic doors. Players build them. So what we will do next is lets determine the doors interiors.
Carpenters can only do this.
We will place a door here

Lets make this side a Tavern entrance. Looking through the structure lists. All interiors will be listed as Special Event Doors – (Name of Interior)

A note about building interior doors. NWN does not like it when our doors go ‘directly’ in the doorway. place them in the front so that the player can access the door.

Now that it’s built lets enter it.

Clicking on the door initially sets it up for the first time. You then become the sole owner of the home and gets a key. IF you building a home for someone do NOT click on the door. Let them click it to become the owner. Owners can make duplicate keys as well.

You can use the IC Token on the door and use /knock to knock on the door.
